Things That Last

This season is filled with lots of messages: You need this product! Buy this thing to solve all your problems! This will make you less tired and more productive! This will make you beautiful! This is what the perfect house looks like. 

This is not another propaganda trying to get you to buy something. You don’t need more stuff. It’s not going to make you more fulfilled or closer to God.

What do you treasure? What things last? Is it your cars, your phone, the way people think about you, the food that you eat? What things are important?

““Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭19‬-‭21‬ 

What do you treasure? Is it earthly things or heavenly things? I pray that you invest in what lasts; friendships, relationships and heavenly things.
