November Update

I have so much to be thankful for this year! This year really has been so sweet. It can be easy to forget all the good when we’re overwhelmed and so busied all the time. I wanna share some of the things I’m thankful for!

I’m thankful for this ministry that I get to be a part of. It is crazy to think how much has changed in the last 8ish years. But one of the consistent things has been this ministry pushing me to love God more and look more like him. I’m so thankful that this place has become like a second family to me. I’m thankful for our Denton Staff and getting to do ministry alongside them. They are such a joy and an encouragement, they make this job much more enjoyable! If you want to support the ministry more, you can give at this link here tomorrow for giving tuesday! anyfocus.org/kfg There's a potential to match your donation up to $50,000!

I’m thankful for my core! I was definately nervous about leading core alone at first but it has been sweet. I am not really alone, because one of my friends Shayla has been consistent(she also works for our staff). We have a pretty diverse group of girls in terms of faith backgrounds which is encouraging to see! They are eager to build friendships and I believe that they are starting to see Jesus more clearly. We have just finished reading through Philippians and are starting on Mark! I am excited to see what fruits that produces!

I’m thankful for my peer team! This group of girls have been a joy to me as I get to help develop them and help them love on others. It has been neat getting to build relationships with these girls and encourage them as they grow!

I am thankful for a house that I can host people at and invite them over! We were able to do friendsgiving at Drew and I’s house and I try to have people over consistently! I am thankful that we don’t have to worry about having people over and disturbing our neighbors. We have had a student living with us for the past month or so and that has been sweet as well. It has reaffirmed my conviction to ave my house be a space that I can open up to other people.

I am thankful for my family! I know the holidays can be hard for people and I am thankful that that is largely not the case with me! I am blessed to have family that loves me and wants to spend time with me. I am a little bummed that my brother will be at basic training till January so he’ll miss out on the holidays.

I am thankful that I have gotten to spend time investing in others and the community as a whole. If you're interested in listening to a sermon I preached, here is the link. (the audio quality is not the best.
