New School Year!

Our Denton Staff!

I realized this last week that through the planning and prepping for the year, I had lost track of why I do campus ministry. So I want to share with yall what God has put on my heart. I do campus ministry because God has called me to it and because of the change I have seen in my life and the lives of those I get to reach out to. I think of my friend Claire who I met when she was a freshman. She was very much in the world, consumed with looking cool and being progressive. She had no interest in Jesus or his people. She was desperately lonely and trying to do things on her own. God let me get a front seat to her transformation. She is now one of the apprentices at the Richland Campus this next year. She loves the Lord and God has given her a passion for others to experience Jesus' transforming power. I am so thankful that I am able to help people see Jesus more clearly and come to love them.

Our Denton staff is changing this next year! We have three apprentices; Becca, Cole, and Steven. I am so excited to get to serve alongside this group as we go out and meet people this next year. We just had our summer staff retreat and the theme verse for our staff is Galatians 2:20. "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." This is my prayer as we go out on the UNT, TWU, and NCTC campuses. That it would be Christ Jesus living and moving in me. I pray that Christ would move in your life as well!

Be praying for both our Student Leadership Training (SICM) this next week and Welcome Week after that. It is going to be a crazy couple of weeks but I am confident that Jesus is going to use that chaos for his benefit. I am excited to meet new people on campus.

Some of our leaders for this new semester!
